Mani Monday

Hello everyone! Happy Mani Monday!

On my ring finger, the class color is Ten Over Ten polish in Wall St.

The dots are RGB Haze. Then I just flipped flopped the colors around for the rest of my fingers.

That’s it! Simply and easy this week.

I will see you all tomorrow with a strange beauty tip! 💋
I received both of these polishes as gratis from my job at Birchbox. This in no way affects my opinion. As always, all opinions are my own.

August Favorites — August 27, 2015

August Favorites

Hey everyone! So this month might be a smaller list than some of my past favorites posts. It’s probably because I was so obsessed with these things, I couldn’t even force myself to branch out. Does that happen to you?

The most anticipated moment:

Finding out who A was on Pretty Little Liars: after five and a half seasons, I was so ready.

The most disappointing moment of the month:

Cece Drake as A: producers kept saying we would really feel bad for A when we got the whole story. I do feel bad. Who wants their parent to not accept them for who they are? But torturing people who had nothing to do with it? Maybe I just don’t get what they were going for.

The lip product I can’t get enough of:

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Como.

Cannot stop wearing it. It’s such a fun color. I love that I can throw on some mascara and this and feel put together. Here it is in action:

The palette I can’t put down:

Anastasia Beverly Hills Shadow Couture World Traveler palette.

So blendable. So pigmented. Such a great variation of colors and finishes. Here’s one look I created (and also a little sneak peak of Saturday’s post, since it will be on this look):

Nails polish with the cutest name ever:

Floss Gloss nail polishes in Biscuits and in Honey:  So cute. Love everything about these polishes.

Of course, a glitter:

The glitter to end all glitters. Here it is in action:

The books I couldn’t put down:

The Game by Terry Schott: I got this for free on iBooks, and didn’t have very high expectations. I was very pleasantly surprised. Check it out.

Armada by Ernest Cline: one of my favorite authors. Great read.

The show I am so glad returned:

From Ariel Till Dawn: loved the original movie, love the show. Check it out if you haven’t.

The song I played so much, I hope I never hear it again:

Can’t Feel My Face by The Weeknd: this made me wake up and feel energized, so it got played a lot. Way too much probably.

What were you guys obsessed with this month?

I will see you all in Saturday with a new Face of the day post.

This is not a sponsored post. As always, all opinions are my own.

Haul  — August 25, 2015

Haul

Hey everyone! So obviously today is a haul post. These are things I’ve picked up in the last few weeks. Some you’ll see used a lot. Some I might have used already. Some will have more in depth posts by themselves. And there’s a bit of everything: skincare, makeup, nail. Let’s jump right in!

Real Chemistry 3 Minute Lumimous Peeland 2 Real Chemistry Environmental Rescue Sheet Masks: I did a whole post on this last week. It’s definitely not for everyone because it is one of those things that is slightly disgusting/slightly amazing. The sheets masks are wonderful!

Yes! Enjoy Time Detective Mask and Heart Beating Mask: I really picked these up to add to my giveaway. I have to admit I mostly grabbed these because the packaging was so cute, but also because I’m super intrigued by Korean skincare lately. The detective one is supposed to be for pores and the heart beating one is supposed to be for nutrition.

Andrea lashes in Emerald and Pink: I thought these might be fun for costumes or more dramatic not-your-everyday-false-lashes look. I actually  doubled up on these to put in the giveaway, too.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Pure Hollywood: This made my July favorites last month. It took some work to be wearable for me, but totally worth the effort. Grabbed one of these for our lucky winner also!

Violet Voss Glitters in Rosalind, Penny and The Fair: Obsessed. No other word. I bought all three within days because they are pretty much amazing. As I’m writing this post, I’m already trying to figure out what color to buy next.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Shadow Couture World Traveler palette: Loving the pigmentation. Loving the variety this offers. Been using it a ton.

Still Stay All Day Liquid lipstick in Como: A must have if you love a bold lip. I can throw on a BB cream, some mascara and this and feel put together. Here’s what it looks like on:

Beauty by Piret Eye Silk in Naked: I have been mostly using this as an eye primer. It can also double as a lip primer or concealer, but haven’t tried that yet.

Floss Gloss nail lacquers in Biscuits and Honey: Admittedly I originally was attracted to the names, but loving the formulas on these. Plus, I love the sort of 1970’s vibe the packaging gives me.

Ardell Spiky Lashes in 386, 385 and 390 and Black Tie Lashes in Allure: Of course, more lashes. Can a girl every have too many falsies?

L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer: I absolutely hate when my kit is missing this. Always replacing it as soon as I run out, if not before.

What have you guys picked up lately? Anything I have to have that I didn’t grab?

I’ll see you all Thursday with my August favorites! 💋
This is not a sponsored post. I bought all these products myself. As always all opinions are my own.

Mani Monday  — August 24, 2015

Mani Monday

Happy Mani Monday everyone! Obviously, I was feeling pink this week.

I started with OPI It’s A Girl on my pinky, pointer and thumbs. I had to use three coats, because this is a very sheer color. I typically won’t use a polish if I have to do more than two coats, but this one is special. I won it as a prize at my sister Jessica’s baby shower. 😊

Then I just added OPI Alpine Snow (only two coats) to my ring finger. On top of that, I used Opi Pirourette My Whistle.

Lastly, I used Essie Fiesta on my middle finger, and to add some dots bordering the light pink nails.

I will see you all tomorrow with a haul post! 💋

Anastasia Shadow Couture World Traveler Eyeshadow Palette — August 20, 2015

Anastasia Shadow Couture World Traveler Eyeshadow Palette

Look what came! I’ve been so excited since this came! I’ve created a few looks with this lately, and can’t wait to play with it somemore. If there’s any looks anyone wants to see with this, let me know.

This is the palette when you take the box off. I’m loving the packaging. So simple and beautiful.

So, you get a really decent sized mirror and a dual brush. I show the brush separately below. You get 12 shades including some neutral and colors, and ranging from matte to really shimmery. I was immediately attracted to some of the warm shades.

Here we have Soft Peach, Morocco, Heirloom, Spoiled, Fudge and Azure. The all all pretty good. I wish Spoiled had a bit more pigmentation and Soft Peach was a tad lighter. My favorite from this section are Morocco and Fudge. I’m been using the constantly in my crease.

Here we have Bellini, Pink Champagne, Chic, Intense Gaze, Metallic and Noir. Noir I haven’t played with really. Metallic had nice color payoff. Chic is especially beautiful as a highlight in the center of your lid. Intense Gaze is beautiful. Pink Champagne is crazy intense. In a good way. Bellini is a softer look for me, but very pretty.

Swatches too to bottom:

  • Noir
  • Metallic
  • Intense Gaze
  • Azure
  • Fudge
  • Spoiled
  • Chic
  • Pink Champagne
  • Bellini
  • Heirloom
  • Morocco
  • Soft Peach

I Isley and not too into the brushes you get in palettes. Some are definitely better than others. This fluffy blending side is nice. It does the job quickly and easily.

This flat side isn’t impressing me. I have much better options. I actinides this once, and the had to switch to another brush in the middle.

Overall, definitely worth the purchase. There are some colors that work beautiful in this palette. I wish there was a bit of a lighter shade to use as a brow highlight. But definitely could be used stand along or with other shadows.

See you all Saturday with a super glittery face of the day post. 💋

Review: Real Chemistry Luminous 3 Minute Peel — August 18, 2015

Review: Real Chemistry Luminous 3 Minute Peel

Hey everyone! Today we’ll be talking about Real Chemistry Luminous 3 Minute Peel. This is a new addition to my skin care routine, and I thought I would share some info about it with you all.

Fair warning, this product is slightly disgusting/absolutely amazing. It totally weirded me out at first, but it kind of grew on me.

So, the first step is to apply some to your skin. Make sure your skin is clean and dry. Then squeeze just a little out. It’s better to start with a small amount and add more if needed, than to squirt way to much out, because you’ll never get it back in. Here I put a bit on my hand.

After that, spread it in an even layer.

Next, use circular motions to start the exfoliating process.

What’s happening is the hell is attaching to the dead skin cells and forming those small lumps.

Then just wash with a gentle cleanser to make sure you have removed all product.

This is a great choice for those of you who don’t like the usual physical exfoliants.

Let me know if you guys have tried this and what you thought. I’ve definitely noticed a difference in my skin since incorporating this into my skin care routine.

That’s it everyone! See you all Thursday with some exciting swatches! 💋

Mani Monday  — August 17, 2015

Mani Monday

Happy Mani Monday! I have to tell you all something. I saw this cream nail polish sitting on the shelf, and thought, ‘Oooh! How pretty!’ Then I picked it up to read the name and saw it was called Biscuits and had to get it because that name is too cute! So then I saw this orange-y type glitter and thought it would look good with Biscuits. When I read the glitters shade name I almost died laughing. It’s called Honey! How perfect is that? Biscuits and Honey! 🍞🍯

So this is two coats of Biscuits from Floss Gloss on my pinky, middle and pointer fingers. Then I just put 3 coats of Honey from Floss Gloss on my ring fingers and thumbs!

That’s it everyone! See you all tomorrow with a review on a new product from my skin care routine! 💋

This is not a sponsored post. These opinions are all my own, as always.  I am not affiliated with any product or brand mentioned above.
