Hey! So, September was a very small haul month. Basically I just grabbed a few things, because I’m planning a much bigger and better haul in mid to late October, but I will tell you more about what to expect from that in a letter post. Anyway, I still thought I’d share what I picked up with you.
I was so excited to hear OCC was releasing their lip tars in a ready to wear formula. I grabbed Pagan when a friend tagged me in Instagram in a lip swatch on the OCC Instagram. I thought this could be a great fall and winter blood lip color. I haven’t actually worn this yet, but I have played with it a bit, and can tell you I’m not sure this new packaging is exactly ready to wear. It definitely is still something you’ll need quite a bit of time to apply. Anyway, if you apply it thickly, it’s almost a black purple, but if you sheer it out, it becomes much lighter. It actually reminds me of the OPI nail polish Lincoln Park After Dark. Here’s some swatches:
So, this bottle is now completely empty. I used up this mini version by testing it out for you all. You can read my full review here.
Please excuse how dirty this is, but I can’t stop using this! It’s amazing and I only paid six dollars for it! You should definitely run out and get this!
I use to be so obsessed with Rich Red, but I couldn’t find it forever. So when I went to the E.L.F. store and saw this, I was so excited. I have to tell you though, it’s not amazing as I remembered. I’m not sure if the formula changed or what, but the color isn’t as vibrant as I remembered. Praline, however, had been my go to lip color for the past color of weeks. It’s the perfect everyday color, and isn’t so matte that it dries my lips out. Here’s some swatches:
Well, reading Max Volume Plus got me excited, I must admit. However, even with only two coats, this can get kind of spidery and clumpy. And one coat definitely does give me “max volume plus”. The brush is pretty nice, though.
I mean, a girl an never own too many pink lipsticks, right?
And that’s pretty much it for today! I’ll see you Thursday with my September Birchbox unboxing. 💋
This is not a sponsored post. The Wet n Wild products were sent to me for review purposes. This doesn’t affect my opinion in any way. As always, all opinions are my own.
