Happy Mani Monday!

I started out with China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat.

I then applied two coats of Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure nail polish in Black and Blue to my ring fingers.

I also applied two coats of Rimmel 60 Seconds nail polish in Mintilicious to all my remaining fingers.

I topped it all off with Sinful Colors Sinful Shine Top Coat.

I’ll see you tomorrow with some product swatches!

Face of the Day — February 27, 2016

Face of the Day

Hey! Here’s the look I came up with for you this week!

I started with my newest primer of choice IPKN Flash Cream Radiant Primer. I then concealed where needed using Jouer Perfector in Natural. I also used Jouer Perfector in Tan to cream contour.

I added the lightest of pink shades to my cheeks and above my brows using Peripera Cushion Blusher in Pleased Pink.

I then applied some NYC Smooth Skin Loose Face Powder to set all that cream product. For powder contouring I used my Anastasia Contour Kit. I also deepened up that cheek color using Jouer Powder Blush in Peach Bouquet.

Next I filled in my brows using Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in Medium Brown.

For the eyes, I started by applying some Mary Kay eyeshadow in Crystalline to my brow bones. I then used some Mary Kay eyeshadow in Lucky Penny in the crease.

I then used a flat brush to apply some Jouer Creme eyeshadow in Cashmere to my eyelids. I set that with Mary Kay eyeshadow in Spun Silk.

Next, I applied some NYC City Proof 24HR waterproof eyeliner pencil in Dark Brown to both my waterline and tight line pretty heavily.

For mascara this week, I layered L’oreal Telescopic and Chanel Le Volume de Chanel.

I finished off the look by layering ELF Cosmetics Matte Lip Color in Praline under Lipstick Queen Seven Deadly Sins lipgloss in Indolence.

I will see you for Mani Monday!

February 2016 Favorites — February 25, 2016

February 2016 Favorites

Hey everyone! I cannot believe it’s already time for February favorites. Any way, here’s what I’ve been obsessing over this month:

What kept my eyes shining: As always, I have to include a Violet Voss glitter. This one is in the shade Teresa, a different color from my norm, but just plain gorgeous.

What kept my lips kissable: I couldn’t stop wearing Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita. It’s easy to apply, and a great everyday color.

What kept my face looking forward: Sunday Riley Artemis Hydroactive Cellular Face Oil. What a mouthful. This keeps my oils in check and my skin very glowy.

What kept my hair touchable soft: This Obliphica Seaberry Hair Mask almost works to well. Don’t plan on using this any time before an up do, because it almost leaves my hair too soft.

The show I was most excited to see return: there are no explanations needed here, I’m assuming.

The new show I’ve been super in to: Outsiders. There’s not an easy explanation with this one. Sort of Sons of Anarchy meets moonshine.

The food I couldn’t stop eating: I have eaten this pretty much every morning of this month. It’s just plain vanilla yogurt, strawberries, chocolate granila and sliced almonds.

The best moment of the month: I got to make a trip home to Florida this month, and I had a great time!

And that’s all this month! What were you obsessed with?

February 2016 Haul — February 24, 2016

February 2016 Haul

February Haul time!

Hum Nutrition Runway Ready Supplements: I grabbed these from Sephora with some giftcards. It combines a supplement for glowing hair and skin and a supplement for long, strong hair and nails.

Hum Nutrition Red Carpet: I also grabbed a bottle of just the Red Carpet.

Since I was taking a trip to Florida, I decided to grab a mini bottle of Ben Nye Final Seal. With the heat and humidity of the south, I knew this would help my makeup stay in place.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita: everyone should own this. A simple, flattering shade on most people. Here’s a swatch:

NYX Studio Liquid Liner in Extreme Blue: I couldn’t pass this one up. The color caught my eye and I immediately started thinking of things I wanted to create with it. Here’s a swatch:

Red Cherry Eyelashes in #43: these are a replacement buy for me. One of my go to lashes.

And of course! Violet Voss glitter I’m Teresa: I went for a more unusual color this time.

I also grabbed Violet Voss glitter in Coppertini!

Pretty Woman Gelogic Top Coat: A gel polish that doesn’t require any special lights.

I also grabbed the color Jazzberry. I can already tell you though, that these are terrible. They didn’t even last a full 24 hours.
And that’s all! I’ll see you for myFebruary  Favorites post!

Face of the Day — February 20, 2016

Face of the Day

Hey! So this week I thought I’d bring you something neutral and easy.

I started with Jouer Perfector in Natural to spot conceal. I also did a slight cream contour using Jouer Perfector in Chestnut.

I thought I’d try something different with my blush this week. I grabbed my Peripera Cushion Blusher in Pleased Pink and applied it to my cheeks as usual, but then also applied some just above my brows. I then decided o wanted a bit my color on my cheeks, so I added some Jouer Powder Blush in Bougainvillea. I also set the other areas of my face using NYC Smooth Skin Loose Face Powder.

Now on to the eyes. I started by filling in and shaping my brows with Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in Medium Brown. I used a fluffy brush to apply Jouer Powder eyeshadow in Toffee in my crease. I used a flat brush to add some Jouer powder eyeshadow in Praline to my brow bone. I used the same  powder blush as before and put it in my outer crease. I then popped some Jouer Creme eyeshadow in Feather onto my lids. (I will tell you now that I wasn’t impressed with the way this wore. About thirty minutes after application, it started to crease and separate very badly. And as oily as I am, I never really considered myself to have oily eyelids.)

I finished off the eyes with Club Clio Kill Black waterproof brush liner in Black (which you can totally skip if you want) and some trusty L’oreal Telescopic mascara.

Finally I added some Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid  Lipstick in Lolita.

And that’s it! I’ll see you for Mani Monday!

February 2016 Birchbox Unboxing — February 16, 2016

February 2016 Birchbox Unboxing

Hey! It’s time to do my February Birchbox unboxing!

Here’s what it looks like! A bunch of cute little things like always!

Catherine Malandrino Romance de Provence Eau de Parfum: While fragrance is usual my least favorite category, Catherine Malandrino usually hits it out of the park for me.

Ren Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask: I do already own this, and it’s pretty good. It does provide some radiance.

Beauty Protector Protect & Datangle: I also already own this. It’s one of my holy grail hair items!

Skinclinical Extreme Healing Repair Concentrate: This seems nice. Not sure if it’s something I will use much, but nice to have just in case.

Model Co. Lip Enhancer Illusion Lip Liner: A girl can never have too many lip liners. I was very confused, because the way the bottom end of this liner is colored, you’d think it would be a bright pink, but it’s most definitely not. Here’s a swatch:

And that’s all for today! I’ll see you Thursday for an exciting announcement!

Mani Monday

Hey! Happy Mani Monday! I know this is technically a day past Valentines Day, but what can I say? I was still in a heart kind of mood.

I started with OPI nail lacquer in Cajun Shrimp on all but my ring fingers.

On my ring fingers, I popped some China Glaze nail lacquer with Hardeners in Check Out the Silver Fox.

I then painted a heart into that using the Cajun Shrimp again.

I finished off the mani with Sinful Colors Sinful Shine Top Coat.

I’ll see you tomorrow!

Face of the Day — February 13, 2016

Face of the Day

Hey! So I’ve been really feeling a bold lower lash line look. I decided to play with some color this week.
I started with Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint in Pearl. I also used Jouer Perfector in Creme to spot conceal, since the tinted moisturizer doesn’t give very much coverage.

I also used Jouer Perfectors in Tan and Ivory to cream highlight and contour.

I then set everything using Jouer Mineral Powder in Perle Natural.

For bronzer I used Jouer Bronzer in Suntan. I also added a bit of a flush to my cheeks using Jouer Powder Blush in Peony.

Next on to brows. I shaped them a bit using Anastasia Brow Wiz in Medium Brown. I also filled in the sparser areas using Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in Medium Brown.

Now on to the fun stuff! I swept some Jouer Bronzer in Sunshine into my crease and on my lids. I then used that same Jouer Bronzer in Suntan from before in my crease to just add a tad of definition.

After that I grabbed my Coastal Scents Glamour Eyes palette. I used the light purple shade in the inner third of my lower lash line. For the middle of my lower lash line, I used the green shade. Finally on the outer third lower lash line, I swept the navy blue color.

I finished off the look by layering Chanel Le Volume de Chanel mascara and L’oreal Telescopic mascara. I also popped some NARS lipstick in Mayflower onto my lips!
I’ll see you for Mani Monday! 💋
