30 Minute Makeup — March 31, 2016

30 Minute Makeup

Hey! So since I did a fifteen minute makeup tutorial for you, I thought I’d do a thirty minute one this time.

Here is how I achieved this look:

  • Dr. Brandt Pores No More Pore Refiner Primer
  • Beauty by Piret Eye Silk in Naked to prep my eyelids
  • Rimmel Stay Matte + Skinpure Complex Clarifying Matte Foundation in Soft Beige
  • Physicians Formula Voncealer Twins in Yellow/Light (yellow to fight under eye circles and light to cream highlight.)
  • NYC Smooth Skin Loose Face Powder to set
  • Anastasia Banana to help brighten under my eyes
  • Anastasia Fawn to contour my cheeks softly
  • Anastasia Java to subtly contour my nose
  • Jouer Powder Blush in Blossom
  • Milani Runway Eyes eyeshadow in Girls Luv Pink as a cheekbone, nose, and Cupid’s bow highlight

  • Urban Decay eyeshadow in Limit as a transition shade
  • Urban Decay eyeshadow in Nooner in the outer corner
  • Wet n Wild Color Icon Simgle eyeshadow in Brûlée on brow bone and lid
  • ELF Cosmetics Smudge Pot in Party Poppin’ as a eyeliner
  • Wet n Wild Max Volume Plus mascara
  • L’oreal Telescopic mascara
  • Kat Von D Everlasting liquid lipstick in Lolita

Then, if you have time, you could add lashes. This time I used Duo eyelash adhesive to apply some Kara eyelashes in #WSP.
And that’s all! I’ll see you Saturday with a new post!

March 2016 Favorites — March 29, 2016

March 2016 Favorites

Hey! It’s time for my March favorites! Let’s jump right in!

Moment: It was Oriana’s birthday this month, my sometimes BFF! She obviously crazy, as you can see in these pictures, but I love her anyway! Happy birthday from the “Lone Perrone”!

Food: So lately, I’ve been incorporating a a couple of vegan meals a week into my diet. I was very excited to find this Soyrizo, and it doesn’t disappoint.
Skin: Kopari Coconut Sheer Oil. Coconut in a liquified form. This takes even my waterproof eye makeup off so quick, and leaves my skin feel so nourished.

Eyes: Malibu Glitz Intense Color Waterproof Eyeliner. I cannot stop wearing this. It’s so waterproof that it even dyes my skin a little. Which is probably my only problem with it.  Here’s a swatch:

Lips: Kleancolor Kiss For Keeps Liquid Lipstick in Coral. Feels amazing on, lasts forever, and the color is perfect. Here’s a swatch:

Hair: Goody Spin Pins have been my go to for probably close to a decade. I’m actually obsessed with them. They hold all my crazy thick, long hair up without a headache or putting that annoying ripple in your hair like hair ties do. I recently lost mine and had to replace them, and the few days I went without we’re just plain miserable.

Jewelry: I grabbed both of the necklaces from Forever 21. I like to wear them together and it helps me feel pulled together without any effort.

Show: ABC’s The Family. Intrigue, mystery, drama. Cannot wait to see how this all turns out.

Song: Dark Dark Dark’s In Your Dreams. Haunting. Beautiful. I found this by watching a BBC miniseries called Thirteen, which has a similar premise as The Family. Check it out!
Book: Mila 2.0 by Debra Driza. This is my second go around with this book, and it’s just as good this time.
I’ll see you Thursday with a new post.

Mani Monday — March 28, 2016

Mani Monday

Happy Mani Monday! This weeks I’m bringing you the blues.
I started with a base coat of China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat.

I painted a triangle like shape at the side of the tip of my nail using Sinful Professional Nail Color in Wonder Mint. I followed that with painting the same shape on the opposite side of my nail using L.A. Colors Color Craze nail polish with Hardeners in Navy.

I finished off the whole thing with China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat.

I’ll see you tomorrow with my March Favorites post!

Face of the Day — March 26, 2016

Face of the Day

Hey! So this week I wanted to play with color. I definitely threw a ton of color in! I got to play with a bunch of new product, too, which is always fun.

I started by prepping my face with Dr. Brandt Pores No More Pore Refiner Primer. I then evened out my skin tone using Dermablend Professional Cover Creme in Natural Beige.

For a cream contour, I used Tata Hatper Very Bronzing Bronzer. I concealer under my eyes using Just Kolour Invisible Color Concealer in shade 02. I also added some color to my cheeks using Tata Harper Volumizing Lip and Cheek Tint in Very Charming. For a cheekbone and bridge of nose highlight, I used Tata Harper Very Illumknating Highlighter.

Now, on to powder products. I set all those cream products using NYC Smooth Skin Loose Face Powder. I then went over the same contour areas using Anastasia Contour Kit. I went over the same highlight areas using Milani Runway Eyes eyeshadow in Girls Luv Pink. I also went over the cream blush using Santee Sun Kissed Mineral Formula Blush in #05.

Now on to the eyes! I shaped my brows using Anastasia Brow Definer in Dark Brown. I followed that with Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in Medium Brown.

I used L.A. Colors eyeshadow in Terracotta in my crease. Next I wanted to create a wing liner shape using eyeshadow. For the outer half, I used Kleancolor American Eyecon Wet/Dry Baked shadow in Matte Fuchsia. For the inner half, I used Amuse Pressed Pigment eyeshadow in Orange Juice.

Next, I ran some Kleancolor Smokin’ Cream eyeshadow in Thunder on my lower lash line. I also did a small winged liner using Malibu Glitz Intense Colour waterproof eyeliner in Sky Blue. I finished off the eyes using Loreal Telescopic mascara.

To complete the look, I used Kleancolor Kiss for Keeps liquid lipstick in Coral.

I will see you for Mani Monday!

March 2016 Haul — March 24, 2016

March 2016 Haul

Hey! It’s time to share all the goodies I picked up this month with a new haul post!

Anastasia Brow Definer in Dark Brown: I’m loving this new brow product from Anastasia. It’s super easy to work with. I like to use it when I’m in a hurry or looking for a more natura brow look.

Acrylic Dotting Tool: I picked this up to create even more Mani Monday posts for you.

French Nail Tip Guides in wavy pattern: another thing I grabbed to create some more Mani Monday posts.

Kleancolor Smokin’ Cream eyeshadow in Thunder: a new fun color I didn’t array own. Here’s a swatch for you:

Santee Sun Kissed Mineral Formula Blush in #5: smells amazing, pretty sheer, and a little shimmery. Here’s a swatch:

Amuse Pressed Pigment eyeshadow in Orange Juice: drawn by the bright color. It’s not truly pressed  though, so that’s a little misleading. Here’s a swatch:

Kleancolor Kiss For Keeps Liquid Lipsticks in Blaze and Coral: I’m constantly on the lookout for new lipsticks. I figured these were worth a try. I’m kinda loving the formulation. I’ll probably do a review on how long they last eventually. Here’s some swatches:

Malibu Glitz Intense Colour Waterproof eyeliners in Sky Blue and Hot Pink: first off, the Hot Pink isn’t truly hot pink at all. It’s kind of chunky also for some reason. The Sky Blue is gorgeous! Swatches:

L.A. Colors eyeshadow pot in Terracotta: I love, love, love warmer tones, and thought this would be super pretty as a crease color. Swatch:

Kleancolor American Eyecon Wet/Dry baked shadows in Matte Pink and Matte Fuscia: I couldn’t decide between these two shades so I just ordered both. Which sucks because I needed up loving the fuscia slightly more and it arrived broken. Swatches both wet and dry:

And that’s all for this month! I’ll see you soon!

Product Swatches: Ilia Beauty Tinted Lip Comditioner — March 22, 2016

Product Swatches: Ilia Beauty Tinted Lip Comditioner

Hey! So these Ilia Beauty Tinted Lip Conditioners feel amazing on, but can be super deceiving color wise. They are pretty sheer, so you don’t always get the color you’re expecting. So I thought I would swatch these for you so you can have a better idea.

Left bottom to right upper: Jump, Hold Me Now, Blossom Lady, Shell Shock, Arabian Nights, Bang Bang, Nobody’s Baby
I’ll see you Thursday with a haul post!

Face of the Day — March 19, 2016

Face of the Day

Hey! So I was thinking I’d do a little bit of a more spring time look for you this week! I wanted to incorporate some more soft colors.
I started by prepping my face with IPKN Poreless Gel Mattifying Primer. I also prepped my eyelids with NYX HD eyeshadow base.

I decided my skin was okay enough for just a bit cream and a light concealer today, so I used both Dr. Jart+ Black Label Detox Beauty Balm and Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Light (mostly under my eyes.) I baked this for about 5 minutes using NYC Smooth Skin Loose Face Powder.

Next I grabbed my Anastasia Contour Kit. I used Havana to bronze my face a tiny bit, Fawn to contour my cheeks, and Java to contour my nose. I then added some color to my cheeks using Jouer Powder Blush in Rose.

I sketched out the shape I wanted for my brows using Anastasia Brow Definer in Dark Brown and made them more prominent a using Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in Medium Brown.

Now for the eyes! I started by using NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk to make the color I would apply pop a little bit more. I ran it along my lower lash line and all over my eyelids. I used the same blush I used on my cheeks as a transition shade. I used another blush, The Balm Frat Boy, in my crease.

For the inner and outer corners of my eyelids, I used Glamour Doll Eyes eyeshadow in Swollen Tears. I applied some ELF Cosmetics Mineral eyeshadow in Sweet to the inner and out part of my lower lash line.

Next I grabbed one of my favorite drugstore palettes, the Wet n Wild Color Icon Art in the Streets palette. I used the yellow shade in the center of both my lower lash line and the center of my lids. I then highlighted my brow bone using Wet n Wild Color Icon single eyeshadow in Brûlée.

I applied a tiny winged liner using LA Colors liquid eyeliner in Black. I then completed the eyes using a combination of Wet n Wild Megalength Waterprood mascara and Wet n Wild Max Volume Plus mascara.

Finally I decided to create an ombré lip. I used two Manna Kadar Liplocked Priming Gloss Stains, with the shade All of Me on the outer lip and the shade All of You on the inner lip.

I’ll see you for Mani Monday!

Swatches: Coastal Scents Glamour Eyes — March 17, 2016

Swatches: Coastal Scents Glamour Eyes

Hey! I’m finally back with the last installment from the Coastal Scents trio I picked up. This one is called Glamour Eyes.

So obviously, for most people these wouldn’t be everyday colors. However, I like to rock a lot of color day to day, so this is actually the one I was most excited for of the three.

So, I’m loving the purple and green shades. I also like that the was a navy included. Also you know I love when there’s a matte black in a shadow palette. The rest are okay. Nothing to scream and jump over.

I’ll see you Saturday with another Fave of the Day post!

March 2016 Birchbox Unboxing — March 15, 2016

March 2016 Birchbox Unboxing

Hey! Today I’m going to do my March 2016 Birchbox unboxing! Here’s the cute box this month.

So let’s jump right in!

Parlor By Jeff Chastain Volumizing and Texturizing Shampoo (and bonus conditioner packette)

NER:D Skincare Miraculous Brightening Clarifying Face Cleanser

Dr. Lipp Miracle Balm

Cargo Land Down Under eyeshadow palette

Some swatches for you

Which opens to reveal…

Pinrose Pillowtalk Poet and Moonlight Gypsy (basically perfume wipes)

So this month was kind of “eh”. I’m always into new shampoo and conditioners. I love Dr. Lipp. The cleanser I still need to try. But the eyeshadow and fragrances are kind of not my thing. Oh, well. Maybe you got stuff you loved? I hope so!
