Mani Monday: Halloween 2016 Edition — October 31, 2016

Mani Monday: Halloween 2016 Edition

Happy Mani Monday! I’ve brought you a mani that matches Saturday’s Face of the Day post. While this may not scream unicorn to most, I promise it makes sense. Unicorns are basically beautiful creatures, with a bit of surprise magic, right. That’s this mani.

I started with two coats of Cover Girl Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss in Everbloom. I let that dry pretty good before moving on.

I then applied one coat of Essie Gel Couture Top Coat to my nails, as well as the under side.

I then sprinkled some Sally Beauty Supply Sally Girl Sparkle Effects Loose Hlitter in Blue Lagoon to the underside of my nails before the Polish could dry.

And that’s it!

I’ll see you tomorrow.

Face of the Day: Halloween 2016 Edition — October 29, 2016

Face of the Day: Halloween 2016 Edition

Hey!

Anyway, I really wanted to do a unicorn look this year, and I decided to incorporate a couple of thing I saw on Pinterest that inspired me.

Anyway, let’s jump in!

I started by prepping my skin with Amazing Cosmetics Anti Aging Face Primer. I also primed my eyes with a Sigma e58 and a bit of NYX Cosmetics Eyeshadow Base in Skin Tone. I also quickly applied some Grande Lips Hydrating Lip Plumper.

To even out my skin tone, I used a Morphe m439 to put on a combo of Rimmel Stay Matte Clarifying Matte Foundation in Soft Beige and a bit of Cynthia Rowley Brightening Illuminater.

To conceal under my eyes and cream highlight the usual areas, I grabbed my Jouer Perfector in Ivory and a Bare Mineral Max Coverage Concealer Brush. I then blended like I had no where to be with my gold old Beauty Blender.

I set all that cream product with my trusty Real Techniques Multi Tasking Brush and some Ben Nye Luxury Powder in Cameo.

Now on to my brows. I filled them in and shaped them with my Anastasia Duo Brush 7 and some Wunder Brow in Black/Brown.

For a bit of a pop, I used some OCC Cosmetic Colour Pencil in Pool Boy in my waterline. I also grabbed a Real Techniques Accent Brush dipped into some Mehron Mixing Liquid and then into some Violet Voss Glitter in Venus and ran it along my lower lash line.

Then a coat each of Wet n Wild Max Volume Plus mascara and Clinique Lash Doubling mascara.

Now for the fun part! Color, color everywhere!

I used a Target Up & Up Stippling Brush to run some LA Colors Shimmering Loose Eyeshadow in Lollipop along the top edge of my forehead.

I used an e.l.f. Cosmetics Professional Powder Brush to color along my temple area with some Amuse Eyeshadow in Orange Juice.

Along the cheeks, I used a Sigma e40 to apply some Sugarpill Hi-Viz Neon Pigment. Just under the cheekbone, I used a Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush to run some Sugarpill Sparkage Neon Pigment.

Next for the side of my jaw. Here I used a Real Techniques Domed Shadow Brush to brush in some e.l.f. Single Eyeshadow in Totally Teal.

Last color! I used a Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush and some Sugarpill Loose Eyeshadow in Strangling to run along under my jaw.

Now for the Glow! I added a ton of Artist Couture Diamond Glow Powder in Mermaid Fantasy using both a Morphe m310 and a Sigma e30.

For my lips, I threw on some OCC Lip Tar in Indrid topped with some more Violet Voss Glitter in Venus.

To finish off the look, I used some Duo Eyelash Adhesive to glue on some Violet Voss Premium Lashes in Vamptress.

See you for Mani Monday!

Product Review: Jean Pierre Cosmetics Happy Feet Exfoliating Foot Mask — October 27, 2016

Product Review: Jean Pierre Cosmetics Happy Feet Exfoliating Foot Mask

Hey guys! Since I know that Baby Foot foot Mask had been killing it in online reviews, I thought I’d review a competing brand for you. This one is the Jean Pierre Happy Feet Exfoliating Foot Mask.

So, basically these are like plastic socks that you tape on with the provided tape. You leave them on for 60-90 minutes, so be prepared to not move, because it’s basically impossible to walk in these.

During the waiting time, my feet felt very warm, although that could be because they were basically enclosed in a plastic bag. Also, the peppermint scent was very nice.

Then, you remove the “booties” and rinse you feet. At this point, my feet felt smooth, but super cold.

The next morning, my feet felt tight, almost like they were a bit swollen from standing all day, but didn’t appear to look any different.

For the next several days, I pretty much gave up on this working. I didn’t notice any difference in my feet.

On day 7, I was in for a surprise. I woke up with giant pieces of skin peeling off. Almost like after a bad sunburn, but without any of the pain. The peeled pretty freely on their own for a day of two, and after that, you pretty much have to physically peel the remaining skin yourself.

Overall, I like this product. I’d considering purchasing it again!

I’ll see you soon!

October Beauty Haul — October 25, 2016

October Beauty Haul

Hey guys! Well, here’s where all my money went this month!

Mehron Pressed Powder Pigment in Hurricane Blue: expect to see this in an upcoming look. I picked it up to use as an eyeliner. I love the color on this. Here’s a swatch:

Eylure Pro-Lash Individuals in Short, Medium and Long Length: just a good set to have. I’ve worn these before and they are fairly easy to work with.

Alfaparf Repairative Lotion: to help the damage from all my bleaching.

Alfaparf Nutritive Essential Oil: to help replenish some moisture to my hair from all the coloring and heat styling.

Holika Holika Smooth Egg Skin Peeling Gel: this!  I love this! A great and gentle exfoliant.

Manic Panic Jen and the Holograms Amplified Semi Permanent Hair Color in Violet: because, well, purple hair!

Mehron Mixing Liquid: I grabbed two more bottles of this stuff, because I’m semi frightened what would happen if I ran out.

Holika Holika Pig-Nose Clear Blackhead 3 Step Kit: I love these nose strip kits, so I grabbed a couple more.

Nail Hur Wisteria Squaletto: I liked this shape. The really dark color is a little too difficult to paint over, though.

Artist Couture Diamond Glow Powder in Mermaid Fantasy: I’ll admit, I might have been suckered into buying this just because of the shade name. It’s still beautiful. Here’s a swatch that doesn’t do it justice:

Style Edit Glitter Rush Tempory Hair Glitter Spray: because, well, glitter.
I’ll see you soon!

How I Got This Hair Color — October 20, 2016

How I Got This Hair Color

So. In my real life and work life outside of this blog, I’ve been getting a ton of questions on how I accomplished this hair. I figured I’d jump the gun of letting you know what I did over here to!

So, basically you know I’ve been slowly lightening my hair recently. It’s been a long process, but I wanted to take it slowly, so I didn’t damage my hair as much.

To do the lightening, I used L’Oréal Quick Blue Powder Bleach, and several different brands of developer in both a 30 volume and 40 volume. I used foils and basically just did highlights in top of highlights on top of highlights every 6 weeks for a few months. It basically went as planned, maybe needing for some toning to get rid of a bit of orange undertones.

Then, I decided to do this hair. I mixed equal parts of Manic Panic Amplified Semi Permanant Hair Color in Violet with equal parts Moroccan Oil Hydrating Conditioner and left it on for 1 hour. Then I basically rinsed it out and this is what I got.

I’m also pretty hopeful that when this starts to fade down, it will be a little toned. We shall see.

Anyway, I’ll see you Saturday!

Face of the Day: Halloween 2016 Edition — October 15, 2016

Face of the Day: Halloween 2016 Edition

Hey! So today I brought you another Halloween look. This one is easy to create with products you products you probably already have at home.

I started by prepping my face with Amazing Cosmetics Anti Aging Face Primer. I also prepped my eyes with NYX Cosmetics Eyeshadow Base in Skin Tone applied with a Sigma e58.

Next, I put in some NYX Cosmetics Stay Matte But Not Flat Liquid Foundation in Golden Beige using a Morphe m439. I also concealed under my eyes with some LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer in Natural. I blended that in using my trusty Beauty Blender. I also used a Sigma f80 to add some color to my cheeks with Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Creme Color Concentrate in Grandma. I also blended the crap out of that using my Beauty Blender again.

Next, I set all that cream product with my Real Techniques Multi Tasking Brush and some Ben Nye Luxury Powder in Cameo.

For a pretty crazy highlight, I applied some Artist Couture Diamond Glow Powder in Mermaid Fantasy using a Morphe m310.

Now on to brows. I filled them in and shaped them with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Duo Brush 7 and a smidge of NYX Cosmetics Eyebrow Gel in Chocolate.

I added a pretty bold and thick winger liner with Styli-Style The Stylus Liquid Eyeliner in Blackest Black.

I used some Coloured Raine Liquid Lipstick in 2AM to fill in my top lip, do the tip of my nose, connect both with a small line, and draw in some dots to simulate whiskers.

For my bottom lip, I used a base of Kleancolor Madly Matte Lipgloss in Jam. I then dipped a e.l.f. Cosmetics Professional Eyeshadow Brush into some Mehron Mixing Liquid and then into some Ben Nye Sparklers in Fire Red and patted that on top.

To finish off my eyes, I used my trusty Duo Eyelash Adhesive and some good old Ardell Wispies.

Ill see you Monday with a matching Mani Monday post!
