Happy Mani Monday!

Then, underneath I used one coat of Essie Gel Couture Top Coat and sprinkled on some Violet Voss Glitter in Venus.

Face of the Day  — November 26, 2016

Face of the Day

Hey guys! So before this hair had faded into nothing, I decided to go all in with the purple. This is what I came up with.

I started with Amazing Cosmetics Anti Aging Face Primer to prep my skin. I also grabbed a Sigma e58 and a little NYX Eyeshadow Base in Skin Tone.

To even out my skin tone, I used a Morphe m439 brush to buff in some NYX Stay Matte Buy Not Flat Liquid Foundation in Golden Beige.

To highlight under my eyes, I used some LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer in Natural and blended the crap out of it with my trusty Beauty Blender.

To add some creamy color to my cheeks, I used a Sigma f80 to lightly dab on some Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Creme Colour Concentrate in Grandma.

To set all that creamy goodness, I used a Real Techniques Multi Tasking Brush and a bit of Ben Nye Luxury Powder in  Cameo.

Now for the glow! I grabbed my Morphe m310 and piled on the Artist Couture Diamond Glow Powder in Mermaid Fantasy.

Now for the most important part. Eyebrows. As usual, I used my Anastasia Duo Brush 7. I used that to fill in and shape my brows with some NYX Eyebrow Gel in Chocolate.

Now the eyes. I used a Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush, a Sigma e55 and a Real Techniques Accent Brush to apply some of the lavender color from the Coastal Scents Glamour Eyes Palette. I basically blended some into my crease, patted it on my lids, and ran some along my lower lash line.

For liner, I got slightly more creative. I used a Sigma e65 to apply some Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Como as an eyeliner. I also applied some to my lips.

Then one coat each of Wet n Wild Max Volume Plus mascara and Clinique High Impact mascara.

Then I slapped on some Ardell Wispies with a bit of Duo Eyelash Adhesive.

Lastly, I used a drop of Mehron Mixing Liquid to pat on some Violet Voss Glitter in Elsa onto my lips.

And that’s all for today guys! See you on Monday for Mani Monday!

Beauty Trash November 2016 — November 24, 2016

Beauty Trash November 2016

Hey! It’s that time again! I kept (or at least tried to remember to) all the beauty products I emptied out since the last time we dug through my beauty trash. I’m going to share that stuff with you now, and let you know if I’ll be repurchasing them, as well as why or why not. Let’s jump right in!

Sally Hansen Moisturizing Nail Polish Remover: This was fine. Not bad, but not too different from most nail polish removers I’ve used. I’ve already repurchased a bottle of some other nail polish remover. If it’s just me, and there’s some miracle remover I haven’t tried, please let me know.

Ben Nye Neutral Set Colorless Face Powder: Yes. Will be grabbing more as soon as I’m out (or close to out) of the one I’m currently using (which I don’t love anyway).

Ben Nye Luxury Powder in Cameo: Yes. Bug probably not right now. Love this, but haven’t had the time or need to bake lately, so I’ll pick more up when I get more into the mood I guess.

Trestique Mini Shadow Crayon in Himalyan Slate: ehhh. Probably not. Nothing wrong with it, but for the price I’d rather save my money and grab a NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil anyway.

Holika Holika Pig-nose Clear Blackhead 3 Step Kit: Too funny. I’ve already repurchased these, and will continue to do so, probably even upgrading to the multi pack next go around. Love, love , love them!

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water: I liked this. But my holy grail setting spray is Ben Nye Final Seal Matte Makeup Sealer (if you know me at all), and I feel like this is really only worth it if you’re using to both prime and set.

Strong Sexy Hair Core Strength Nourishing Anti-Breakage Masque: I already have a full size to follow this up. It’s nice. Leaves my hair super hydrated and smelling fantastic.

Amazing Cosmetic Anti Aging Face Primer: I am a huge fan of this brand. I still have some Line Smoother and Primer from them, though, so I won’t be ordering more of this one right away.

Kopari Coconut Melt: I used this for like everything. Mostly to remove makeup at night, but also to keep my feet soft, hydrate my cuticles, stuff like that. I already bought a jar of another coconut oil, but honestly it was because I couldn’t get this one fast enough.

Cynthia Rowley Brightening Illuminator: I like this one. Sometimes it’s a little pink for me. I still have a ton of other liquid highlighters, so I won’t be running out for this one.

Sacha Juan Volume Powder: This one almost made me tear up. I am soooooo obsessed with huge hair. This does that. It’s probably a good thing I already had a back up bottle, or I might have cried!

Alright, well, I’ll see you Saturday with a new makeup look!

November 2016 Beauty Haul — November 22, 2016

November 2016 Beauty Haul

Hey! Today I thought I’d share all the beauty stuff I bought this month with you (and maybe do like mini mini mini reviews on them of course!)

ImPress Gel Manicure: Marilyns: loved these. Cutest pattern ever!

Morphe 20Con palette: nice for correcting. Lots of shades to mix and match, which is nice. I found it didn’t wear well throughout the day, however.

Morphe 06PC palette: ehhh convenient. I prefer loose powder though.

Morphe 9B palette: love! Lots of different blush shades in one sleek package.

Morphe 35S palette: yassss! Lots of fun colors, but also some smokey eye colors. Perfect

Rubber Nail Polish Holder Ring: one of the kitchsy things you buy in impulse. Cool, but will take some getting used to.

One ‘n Only Argan Oil Color Oasis Smoothing Shampoo: nice. Not exactly up to par with my normal Moroccan Oil Shampoo, but still nice.

L’Oréal Extra Strength Quick Blue Powder Bleach: of course, right? It takes a whole lot of Bleach for all this hair.

L’Oréal Oreor Creme Developers in 30 and 40 Volumes: too go with all the bleach of course!

Palladio Matte Blush in Velvetine: simple and beautiful

Lipsmart Powerful Hydration for Lips; well. I was super excited to try this. Supposed to be providing long term hydration and plumping. I really haven’t seen much of either.

Palladio Brow Styler Tinted Gel: haven’t had a chance to play with this yet

Peter Thomas Roth Anti-Aging Cleansing Gel: also haven’t tried this

T3 Tourmaline Ionic Bristle Brush: nice. I don’t really do my own blowouts often, but I think this will work nicely when I do.

Strong Sexy Hair Core Strength Nourishing Anti Breakage Mask: leaves my hair silky and smells great!

Tru Hair Volcanic Volume Volumizing Paste: I cannot even explain how awesome this is! Great big, sex pot hair in two seconds!

Palladio Matte Bronzer in Teeny Bikini: truly matte. I’ve been using this everyday for about a week.

Invisi Bobble Pink Heroes Traceless Hair Ring: a hair tie that doesn’t leave a mark. My kinda hair tie.

Palladio Brow Definer: haven’t had a chance to play with this yet

Invisi Bobble True Black Nanos: so… not really sure what I’ll do with this size with all of my hair.

Invisi Bobble Pinking of You: this is the largest size, and probably the one I’ll get the ms use out of.

Palladio Double Agent Faux Lash Effect mascara: a mascara at one end, fibers at the other. Can get a little clumpy if you’re not careful.

Style Sexy Hair Not Too Hard Up Medium Holding Gel: I don’t use gel a lot, but I’m planning using this for a super sucked back ponytail look.

And that’s all for this month! I’ll see you Thursday!

Face of the Day  — November 19, 2016

Face of the Day

Hey everyone! Today I brought you bit of a smash up of two looks. A more traditional winged liner and red lip look, but then threw in this different silver glitter under the brow. Here’s what I did to create this look for you:

I started by prepping my face with Amazing Cosmetics Anti Aging Face Primer. I also threw on some Grande Lips Hydrating Lip Plumper.

Then I grabbed my Sigma 3DHD Kabuki Brush and used some Dermablend Professional Cover Creme in Natural Beige. I also concealed and brightened under my eyes with a little LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer in Natural. Then I basically patted a damp Beauty Blender all over my face, until I thought my arm would fall off.

I set the under eye area and t zone with some Ben Nye Luxury Powder in Cameo and a Real Techniques Multi Tasking Brush.

To add a little bit of sunshine, I used a Sigma f40 to bronze up a bit with Jouer Bronzer in Suntan. I then also used both a Morphe m530 and a Morphe MB4 to layer on some Jouer Bronzer in Sunshine.

For a bit of a flush, I swept on some Jouer Blush in Peony with my Sigma f15. Then I just took a Real Techniques Multi Tasking Brush and basically blended until I couldn’t any more.

Now for the glow! I used a Morphe m310 to sweep some Violet Voss Pro Highlighting Powder in Moon Gleam along my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose. I also layeredon some Sugarpill Loose Eyeshadow in Lumi, because there’s no such thing as too much highlighter.

Next I grabbed my Anastasia Duo Brush 7 and some NYX Cosmetics Eyebrow Gel in Chocolate and went to town.

For liner, I got a little more creative. I wet a Sigma e75 with some Mehron Mixing Liquid and then used that to apply Mehron Intense Pressed Powder Pigment in Hurricane Blue as a winged liner.

Then, I decided to get weird with it. I wet a Sigma e65 with the same Mehron Mixing Liquid and used that to apply some Violet Voss Glitter in Venus under my brows.

To set all that crap, of course I sprayed on some Ben Nye Final Seal Matte Makeup Sealer.

Then I applied a couple of coats of Clinique High Impact mascara. I also used some Duo Eyelash Adhesive to throw on some Ardell Wispies.

I finished off the whole thing with some Kleancolor Madly Matte Lipgloss in Jam!

Face of the Day — November 12, 2016

Face of the Day

Hey everyone! I’m so excited to bring you this fall look today. I love wearing deep lip colors, so this was an easy look to pull together.

I started by prepping my face with IPKN Flash Cream Radiant Primer

I used a Morphe e40 to add some color to my crease using the Morphe 35o palette (the fourth column, second row color).

I then grabbed a Sigma Base Shadow Brush and the same palette (this time Color in the seventh column, fourth row) and deepened up that crease.

To highlight my brow bone, I used an e.l.f. Cosmetics Professional Eyeshadow Brush and the same palette (second column, first row.)

I smoked out the lash line with a Real Techniques Accent Brush and once again the same palette (seventh column, fifth row).

For the eyelids, I scribbled on some Mally  Eyeshadow in Saddle Shimmer and blended it in a bit with a Sigma e55.

Now for some glitter! I wet a Sigma e58 with some Mehron Mixing Liquid and dipped it into some Violet Voss Glitter in Coppertini and gently patted it on my eyelids.

Now for the face! I used my trusty Sigma 3DHD Kabuki Brush to apply some Dermablend Professional Cover Cream in Natural Beige. To highlight the center of my face and under my eyes, I used some LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer in Natural and blended the crap out of it with a Beauty Blender.

To set all that, I used Ben Nye Luxury Powder in Cameo and a Real Techniques Multi Tasking Brush.

Now to add a little color. I used a Sigma e40 and some NARS Laguna. I also used a Sigma f15 and some NARS Luster.

I then finished it off with my Real Techniques Multi Tasking Brush and some Ben Nye Pretty Pink Translucent Powder.

To add some glow, I grabbed my Morphe m310 and Sigma e30 to sweep on some Violet Voss Pro Highlighting Powder in Star Glow.

Brows. Don’t forget the brows. I grabbed my Anastasia Duo Brush 7 and filled in and shaped them with some NYX Cosmetics Eyebrow Gel in Chocolate.

I set everything with Ben Nye Final Seal Matte Makeup Sealer and threw on some Clinique High Impact Mascara and some NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Transylvania to finish off the look!

I’ll see you for Mani Monday!

Mani Monday — November 7, 2016

Mani Monday

Happy Mani Monday! This week I cheated a bit. Work had been crazy (like working 6 days a week crazy) so I grabbed these imPRESS Gel Manicure things the other day. I love the design anyway!

So basically this is like a press on gel manicure. It’s pieces of gel polish that attach to your nails with basically double sided tape.

This design is called Marilyns.

I’ll see you tomorrow! (And I promise a more involved Mani Monday next week!)

Face of the Day — November 5, 2016

Face of the Day

Hey guys! Here’s the look I came up for you today! Here’s how I got this face:

I started by prepping my eyes with NYX Cosmetics HD Eyeshadow Base. I also prepped my lips with Grande Lips Hydrating Lip Plumper.

I then used my Sigma 3DHD Kabuki Brush to apply some Stila Stay All Day 10-in-1 HD Beauty Balm.

I then cream highlighted using a Bare Minerals Max Coverage Concealer Brush and some Jouer Perfector in Creme. I also blended that in using a gold old trusty Beauty Blender.

I set all that cream using Ben Nye Luxury Powder in Cameo and a Real Techniques Multi Tasking Brush.

Too add a little bit of “sun”, I applied some Jouer Bronzer in Suntan to the usual areas with a Sigma f40. I blended the even more (because hey, why not?) using a Morphe m530.

I added a bit of a flush with a Sigma f15 and some Jouer Blush in Peony.

Then I once again blended (sound familiar?) with a Real Techniques Multi Tasking Brush. I used that same brush to finish off the face with some Ben Nye Translucent Powder in Pretty Pink.

Now for the all important glow! I highlighted using a Morphe m310 and a ton of Violet Voss Pro Highlighting Powder in Moon Gleam.

To fill in and shape my brows, I used my Anastasia Beverly Hills Duo Brush 7 and some NYX Cosmetics Eyebrow Gel in Chocolate.

I then created a sort of ombré winged liner using Milani Ultrafine Liquid Eyeliners in Sparkling Turquoise, Prismatic Purple, and Emerald Glisten.

I then set all that work with Ben Nye Final Seal Matte Makeup Sealer.

Then two coats of L’Oréal Telescopic mascara. And two coats of Stila Huge Extreme Lash Mascara.

Then I slapped on some Ardell Wispies with some Duo Eyelash Adhesive.

I finished off the whole look with Dose of Colors Liquid Lipstick in Purple Rain.

I’ll see you for Mani Monday!
