Face of the Day  — February 25, 2017

Face of the Day

Hey! So today I’ve brought you a simple, sultry, bronze look. Here’s how I got it.

I started by using some LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer in Green Corrector to neutralize some red areas.

I then scribbled some Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Color in Rose Gold onto my eyelids. For a transition shade, I used a Sigma e40 to apply some Stila Eyeshadow in Puppy.

I decided to define the crease just a bit more with some Stila Eyeshadow in Coco applied with a Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush.

Next, I dampened an e.l.f. Cosmetics Professional Eyeshadow Brush with some Mehron Mixing Liquid and used that to apply some Ben Nye Lumiere Luxe Powder in Bronze to my eyelids. I also added a little e.l.f. Cosmetics Mineral Eyeshadow in Sassy to the center of each eyelid.

I decided to skip foundation this time, so I used Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer in Medium Beige to conceal anything I needed to. I also highlighted under my eyes with some Santee Cosmetics Just Kolour Invisible Cover Concealer in 02. I then blended everything in with a dampened Beauty Blender.

For a little bit of a creamy glow, I used my fingers to dab on some Temptu Highlighter in Champagne Shimmer to my cheekbones and the bridge of my nose.

To set all that cream, I grabbed my Morphe e41 and some Jouer Mineral Powder in Perle Natural.

To add a sun kissed look, I used a Sigma f40 and the Morphe 9BZ palette. I blended that out with a Morphe m530.

For some color, I used a Sigma f15 to sweep some Santee Sun Kissed Mineral Formula Blush 5 along my cheeks.

I then once again blended, this time with a Real Techniques Multi Task Brush.

For even more glow, I used my Morphe m310 Brush to sweep some Artist Couture Diamond Glow Powder in Illuminati on my cheekbones and the bridge of my nose.

Now for the brows. I used an Anastasia Duo Brush 7 to get the general shape with some NYX Cosmetics Eyebrow Gel in Chocolate. I then further defined them with some NYX Cosmetics Eyebrow Powder in Dark Brown.

To highlight my brow bones, I swept on some NYX Cosmetics Hot Singles Eyeshadow in Lace using an e.l.f. Cosmetics Professional Eyeshadow Brush.
I threw on some Palladio Double Agent Faux Lash Effect mascara and some NYX Cosmetics Butter Gloss in Cranberry Biscotti and called it a day.

And that’s all for today! I’ll see you for Mani Monday!

Everything Under $10 — February 21, 2017

Everything Under $10

Hey guys! I know sometimes people are on a budget, so I decided to create a loom for you where every single item is under $10 (including the brushes!)

I started out using e.l.f. Cosmetics Tine Adjusting Face Primer in Neutralizing Green to correct some redness.

I then applied some Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation in Soft Beige and blended that in using a Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge.

So I could fake looking like I actually am well rested, I threw on some NYX Cosmetics HD Concealer in Yellow under my eyes. I blended that in with the same Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge.

I then set my face using a Real Techniques Multi Task Brush and some Ben Nye Pretty Put no Translucent Powder. Next, I faked like I’ve actually been spending some time in the sun by using a Morphe m530 Brush and some Palladio Matte Bronzer in Teeny Bikini.

To add a bit of cheek color, I swept on some NYX Cosmetics Blush in Pinched with a Morphe m427. For some glow, I used a Morphe m310 Brush to sweep some e.l.f. Cosmetics Mineral Eyeshadow in Celebrity along my cheek bones and down the bridge of my nose.

To fill in and shape my brows, I grabbed a Morphe e29 Brush and some NYX Cosmetics Eyebrow Gel in Chocolate. I also added a bit of NYX Cosmetics Eyebrow Powder in Dark Brown with the same brush.

Now for the eyes. I used a Morphe e36 Brush to apply some e.l.f. Cosmetics Single Eyeshadow in Totally Teal into my crease. I then used a Real Techniques add Shadow Brush to blend that out. I then applied some NYX Cosmetics Eyeshadow Base in Skin Tone to my eyelids (because I forgot to before), using a Morphe g10 Brush. Next, I used an e.l.f. Cosmetics Professional Eyeshadow Brush to highlight my brow bone with a bit of NYX Cosmetics Hot Singles Eyeshadow in Lace. I then used another e.l.f. Cosmetics Professional Eyeshadow Brush to pat on some L’Oréal 24HR Infallible Eyeshadow in Endless Sea.

I then threw on some Wet n Wild Maxfanatic Cat Eye mascara. But since that’s clearly not enough, I also used some Duo Eyelash Adhesive to attach some Red Cherry Eyelashes in 523. I finished off the look with a touch of Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Orchid Ecstasy.

And that’s all for today! See you soon!

Face of the Day  — February 18, 2017

Face of the Day

Hey! I wanted to play with a little color this week and here’s what I came up with. Here’s how I got the look:

I started by fighting the dreaded shine with NYX Cosmetics Shine Killer. I also prepped my eyes with some NYX Cosmetics Eyeshadow Base in Skin Tone applied with a Sigme e58.

I got my basic brow shape down with an Anastasia Duo Brush 7 and some NYX Cosmetics Eyebrow Gel in Chocolate.

Now onto the fun part! I took a Sigma e30 to carefully place some Ben Nye Lumiere Luxe Powder in Cosmic Blue into my crease. I then blended that out with a Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush.

For the eyelids, I dampened an e.l.f. Cosmetics Professional Eyeshadow Brush with a bit of Mehron Mixing Liquid and used that to pat on some Ben Nye Lumiere Luxe Powder in Royal Purple. I used the same dampened brush to pat some Ben Nye Lumiere Luxe Sparkle Powder in Cosmic Violet Sparkle directly on top.

Now onto the face. I used a Morphe m439 to apply some Frankie Rose Matte Perfection Foundation in Vintage.

To conceal and highlight under my eyes I used some LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer in Natural blended in with a Beauty Blender. I also added a bit of a Glow but patting on some NYX Cosmetics Born to Glow Liquid Illuminator in Sunbeam with my fingers.

To set all that, I grabbed my Morphe e41 to dust some Jouer Mineral Powder in Perle Natural all over. To add a bit of dimension I used a Sigma f40 and some Palladio Matte Bronzer in Teeny Bikini. I blended once again with a Morphe m530.

For a bit of cheek color, I swept on some Jouer Powder Blush in Peony with a Sigma f15. Then I once again blended, this time with a Real Techniques Multi Task Brush.

For some glow, I used my Morphe m310 to sweep on some Artist Couture Diamond Glow Powder in Gold Digger.

Back to the brows. I used my Anastasia Duo Brush 7 again and some NYX Cosmetics Eyebrow Powder in Dark Brown to finalize the shape. I then highlighted my brow bones with an e.l.f. Cosmetics Professional Eyeshadow Brush and some NYX Cosmetics Hot Singles Eyeshadow in Lace.

I threw on some Wet n Wild Maxfanatic mascara. I also used some Duo Eyelash Adhesive to attach some Ardell Wispies.

To finish it off, I swept on some Gerard Cosmetics Lipgloss in Rose Hill.

I’ll see you for Mani Monday!

Beauty Trash — February 16, 2017

Beauty Trash

Hey! So these are all the products I’ve used up lately. (At least the ones I remembered not to throw away…) So let’s dig through my trash!

Moroccan Oil Hydrating Shampoo: love, loce love! I’ll be picking this up again soon.

Sparks Long-Lasting Bright Hair Color in Rose Gold: I loved the consistency of this. It totally didn’t come out anything like the swatch, though. I think I will try a different shade next time.

Kokostar Foot Therapy Paraben Free Foot Exfoliant Wrap: worked awesomely! Baby smooth feet!

AG Sterling Silver Toning Shampoo: well. This tones nicely, but is full of sulfates, so can be a little drying. I already picked up something else.

Towel Dry Spray Conditioner: I loved this. I’m already trying sometime else, but if I don’t like it, I might consider repurchasing.

Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray: I’m sooo obsessed with this. Definitely picking up more.

Aphogee Hair Strengthening Kit: saw a slight difference after using, but not a huge one.

Mira’s InstaMatte Oil-Control Mask: ehhh. I wanted this to be better.

Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer: already ordered more!

Obliphica Seaberry Hair Serum: I was so sad to run out of this. I definitely need to grab more.

LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer: already grabbed more.

Styli-Style The Stylis Liquid Eyeliner: loved this. But also love others. Have to think about it.

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer: I used to love this. But I’ve found some others I love also, so won’t be in a rush to buy.

e.l.f. Cosmetics Matte Lip Color in Red: I like this okay. But I’ve found much more flattering reds and better formulas.

No. 4 Super Comb Prep and Protect: I liked this okay, but have also found others that work better with my thick hair.

I’ll see you Saturday!

Let’s Talk: Cosrx Blackhead Silk Finger Balls — February 15, 2017

Let’s Talk: Cosrx Blackhead Silk Finger Balls

Hey guys! So… I tried maybe the weirdest thing I’ve ever tried skincare wise.

These are Cosrx Blackhead Silk Finger Balls. Essentially, these are silk worm cocoons.

They contain a natura protein called ceracin, that helps exfoliate dead skin and still keeps skin feeling hydrated. It helps remove excess sebum and blackheads. Also, because it doesn’t contain any chemicals, there’s not really much of a chance of a bad skin reaction.

One of the best things is how crazy reasonably priced these are. I got this bag for six dollars. The bag contained 12 finger balls, which can each be used two to three times if properly rinsed. I like that I was able to try them without spending a fortune.

Now, lets jump into how they work. First, you soak a couple of them in warm water for two or three minutes. After that, you pop them on your finger tips and massage them onto your clean, dry skin, concentrating on areas where blackheads are the worst.

After using these, my skin did feel good. Super smooth and not at all irritated or dry. I did have a small pimple the next morning, but this sometimes happens to me when I exfoliate, since if kind of brings stuff to the surface.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this. They are super fun to use! And my skin really did feel good.

I’ll see you tomorrow!

Mani Monday

Happy Mani Monday! Here’s what I came up with for you this week.

The nude base for the cheetah is OPI Nail Lacquer in Going My Way or Norway?

The deep red color is OPI Nail Lacquer in Can’t Read Without My Lipstick.

The center of the cheetah spots is Bonita Nail Enamel in 1AM.

The outline of the cheetah spots is Wet n Wild Fantasy  Makers Nail Color in Black as Knight.

It’s all topped off with Essie Gel Couture Top Coat.

I’ll see you tomorrow and we will discuss the weirdest new thing in skin care!
