Face of the Day  — April 29, 2017

Face of the Day

Hey! This week I played some more with the Violet Voss x Laura Lee Eyeshadow Palette. Here’s how I created the look:

I started with a Sigma e40 to apply Britches as a transition shade. Next, I grabbed a Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush to apply Fried into my crease. I deepened up the outer crease with a Sigma e30 and some Whiskers. Now for the eyelids. I used a Sigma e55 to pack on some Smashlee in the outer lid, and some Yoshi in the inner eyelid. I smoked out the lower lash line with an e.l.f. Cosmetics Professional Eyeshadow Brush and some Bubs. I also highlighted my brow bones with Basic and another e.l.f. Cosmetics Professional Eyeshadow Brush.

I used some LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealers in Natural and Light Ivory to highlight and conceal under my eyes and down the center of my face. I then blended until my arm hurt with a dampened Beauty Blender.

I set that with a Morphe e41 and some Ben Nye Fair Translucent Powder. I added some depth to my face by contouring with a Sigma f40 and some Anastasia Contour Powders in Fawn and Java. I blended the crap out of that with a Morphe m530. For cheek color, I grabbed a Sigma f15 and swept on some Cargo Cosmetics Water Resistant Blush in Los Cabos. I then blended again with a Real Techniques Multi Task Brush.

I mapped out my brows with a Palladio The Brow  Definer Micro Pencil in Black/Brown. Then, to actually fill them in, I used an Anastasia Duo Brush and some NYX Cosmetics Eyebrow Powder in Dark Brown.

For the all important glow, I grabbed a Morphe m310 and swept on some Violet Voss Pro Highlighting Powder in Star Glow.

I added winged liner using Palladio Felt Tip Eyeliner Pen in Black. I prepped my lashes with Lorac Pro Lash Pomade. I used some Duo Eyelash Adhesive to throw on some Ardell Wispies. I finished the whole look off with e.l.f. Cosmetics Matte Lip Color in Praline.

And that’s all! I’ll see you soon!

Mask Monday — April 24, 2017

Mask Monday

Hey guys! This week I tried out this Whamisa Real Kelp Sheet Organic Facial Mask Pack. This one is kind of crazy. It’s actual kelp, instead of cotton or paper. Weird, right? Look!

Can’t say I saw a huge difference after using, but it sure did feel refreshing while I had it on!

See you soon!

Updated Everyday Makeup Routine — April 18, 2017

Updated Everyday Makeup Routine

Hey guys! It’s been awhile since I did an updated everyday makeup routine for you. This is the look I use for work or going out or whatever, when I don’t feel like coming up with a new look or am feeling uninspired.

I start by hydrating my lips with Grande Lips Hydrating Lip Plumper.

I then used a Morphe m439 Brush to apply Inglot YSL Cream Foundation in 43. I also did a little concealing with some LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealers in Light Ivory and Natural. I then blended until my arm hurt with a dampened Beauty Blender.

I set all that cream with some Ben Nye Fair Translucent Powder and a Morphe e41. I also slightly contoured and bronzed with a Sigma f40 and Anastasia Contour Powder in Fawn. I once again blended, this time with a Morphe m530.

Instead of blush, I used that same Sigma f40 to sweep on some Jouer Cosmetics Bronzer in Sunshine. I then blended out my whole face (again!) with a Real Techniques Multi Task Brush.

Now for glow! I used a Morphe m310 to sweep on all three Violet Voss Pro Highlighting Powders. I also threw on some Artist Couture Diamond Glow Powder in Gold Digger.

Now for the eyes. I started by getting down the basic shape with an Anastasia Duo Brush 7 and some NYX Cosmetics Eyebrow Gel in Chocolate. I then deepened up that with the same brush and some NYX Cosmetics Eyebrow Powder in Dark Brown. To clean up the edges, I used a Sigma e58 and some NYX Cosmetics Eyeshadow Base in Skin Tone.

For a transition shade, I used a Sigma e40 to sweep on some Stila Eyeshadow in Puppy. I then warmed up the crease a bit by using a Real Techniques Domed Shadow Brush to buff in some LA Colors Eyeshadow in Terracotta. I then added some depth to the crease using a Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush and some Stila Eyeshadow in Coco. Next, I used a Sigma e55 to pat some Kiko Cosmetics Infinity High Pigmented Eyeshadow in 234 onto my eyelids. Finally, I used an e.l.f. Cosmetics Professional Eyeshadow Brush to highlight my brow bones with NYX Cosmetics Hot Singles Eyeshadow in Lace.

Then I drenched myself in Ben Nye Final Seal Matte Makeup Sealer.

I slathered my lashes in Wet n Wild Maxfanatic Cat Eye mascara. I used some Duo Eyelash Adhesive to slap on some Ardell Wispies. I finished off the look with NYX Cosmetics Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Tea Rose.

I’ll see you soon!

Face of the Day  — April 15, 2017

Face of the Day

I decided to play with the Violet Voss x Laura Lee Palette a little more this week. Here’s how I created the look:

I started with some LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealers in Light Ivory and Natural for some concealing and under eye highlighting. I blended that to death with a dampened Beauty Blender.

I set all that with an e41 and some Ben Nye Fair Translucent Powder. I also slightly contoured with a Sigma f40 and Anastasia Contour Powders in both Fawn and Java. I blended that out with a Morphe m530.

For some cheek color, I swept on some Santee Cosmetics Sunkissed Mineral Formula Blush #5 with a Sigma f15. I blended that h til my arms ached with a Real Techniques Multi Task Brush.

For glow, I used a Morphe m310 to layer on some Physicians Formula Glowing Nude Bronzer in Nude Wear, followed by some Milani Runway Eyes Eyeshadow in Girls Luv Pink.

Now for the eyes. I got my basic brow shape down with an Anastasia Duo Brush 7 and some NYX Cosmetics Eyebrow Gel in Chocolate. I also filled in some sparser areas with some NYX Cosmetics Eyebrow Powder in Dark Brown. I cleaned up the edges with a Sigma e58 and some Dermablend Cover Creme in Natural Beige.

I scribbled some Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Amethyst onto my eyelids. I also added some Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Tuxedo into the outer corners.

Next I grabbed a Sigma e40 and swept on some Priss Pot from the Violet Voss x Laura Lee Eyeshadow Palette as a transition shade.

I used a Real Techniques Domed Shadow Brush to deepen up that with Britches from the same palette.

I then added some Alabama and Whiskers to the outer corners and lower lash line with a Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush.

For the eyelid base color, I applied 1988 with a Sigma e55.

I then added a pop to the center of the eyelids with Fleeky and an e.l.f. Cosmetics Professional Eyeshadow Brush.

I also highlighted my brow bones with an e.l.f. Professional Eyeshadow Brush and Basic.

For the tear duct area, I used a Sigma e30 to add some Tickled Pink.

Then I drenched myself in Ben Nye Final Seal Matte Makeup Sealer.

I lined my water line and tight line with Clinique Skinny Stick in Slimming Black. I tossed on some Lorac Pro Lash Pomade.

For falsies, I used Red Cherry Eyelashes in 415, applied as usual with Duo Eyelash Adhesive.

To finish off the look, I applied some NYX Cosmetics Butter Gloss in Angel Food Cake.

And that’s all! I’ll see you soon!

Mask Monday — April 10, 2017

Mask Monday

Hey guys! So I’ve decided to switch things up a bit. I will be rotating weekly between Mask Monday and Mani Monday. I get a lot of requests to talk about masks I use (and I use a lot!), so I figured this would be a good way to do that. I haven’t decided yet if this will be a permanent thing, or what. Anyway, lets jump in!

This week I tried Pretty Animalz by MasqueBar Fox Brightening Sheet mask. It’s the cutest! Here’s how it look on:

I love this! Aidan has even jumped into the idea and tried some of the other ones:

The Panda one

The Otter one

The Tiger one

While I didn’t notice an immediate brightening (which might be kinda scary if I did), my skin felt nice and hydrated and soft after using it.

I’ll see you tomorrow! Let me know how you feel about Mask Monday in the comments!

Face of the Day  — April 8, 2017

Face of the Day

Hey! So I decided to play with a new palette I picked up, and here’s what I came up with.

I concealed and highlighted a bit using LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealers in Light Ivory and Natural. I then blended that in with a dampened Beauty Blender.

To set all that, I used a Morphe e41 to dust in some Ben Nye Fair Translucent Powder. I also bronzed a bit with a Sigma f40 and some Anastasia Contour Powder in Fawn. I blended that until my arm hurt with a Morphe m530.

To add some color, I applied some Cargo Cosmetics Water Resistant Blush in Los Cabo’s. Then I blended some more with a Real Techniques Multi Task Brush.

Now for brows. I got down the general chaos with an Anastasia Duo Brush 7 and some NYX Cosmetics Eyebrow Gel in Chocolate. I used the same brush and some NYX Cosmetics Eyebrow Powder in Dark Brown to simian them off.

I used a Sigma e40 brush  to apply Priss Pot from the Violet Voss x Laura Lee Palette as a transition shade. Then I used a Real Techniques Domed Shadow Brush and Mama Bird to add some more color to the crease. I also added some Ragamuffin with a Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush.

On my eyelids, I patted on some Bitty with a Sigma e55. In the very center, I added some Hissy Fit with an e.l.f. Cosmetics Professional Eyeshadow Brush. I also highlighted my brow bones with an e.l.f. Cosmetics Professional Eyeshadow Brush and Basic.

Now for a little glow. I grabbed a Morphe m310 and swept in some Violet Voss Pro Highlighting Powders in Star Glow and Unicorn Luster. I also layered on some Artist Couture Diamond Glow Powder in Illuminati.

I prepped my lashes with Lorca Pro Lash Pomade. Then I threw on some Ardell Wispies with some Duo Eyelash Adhesive. I finished off the look with NYX Cosmetics Lip Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in Exotic.

That’s all! See you soon!

Beauty Trash — April 5, 2017

Beauty Trash

Hey guys! It’s time to dig through my Beauty trash! Let’s see what I’ve used up since last time.

House of Lashes in Siren: I will explain with the pair below.

House of Lashes in Smokey Muse: Well. I wanted to love these. But I just couldn’t. Now, I know I have huge eyes. When I was a kid, people used to call me bug eyes and fish eyes. I almost never have to trim lashes. But these Lashes were too small. Like crazy. It was so weird. Will definitely not be repurchasing.

Glamglow ThirstyMud Daily Hydrating Cleanser: this felt super nice on. Not sure about purchasing, but mostly because the price point.

Glamglow ThirstyMud Hydrating Treatment: This also felt nice. My skin felt pretty smooth after. This is a more likely purchase.

Glamglow SuperCleanse Daily Clearing Treatment: eh. I’ve used other cleansers that I felt did a better deep clean.

Glamglow SuperMud Clearing Treatment: this I liked better. But my face was a little red after, so not sure it’s a smart move for me.

Glamglow PowerMud Dual Cleanse Treatment: love, love, love this! I might need to pick it up.

Glamglow PowerMud Dual Cleanse Treatment: it was okay. I’ll probably stick with just the cleanser.

Cetus Exfoliating Foot Mask: worked well. But some others I have tried were slightly better. I’ll probably just stick with those.

Caudalie Micellar Cleansing Water: I really liked this. But I plan on grabbing Bioderma to try next.

Clinique Take the Day Off Makeup Remover: worked okay. But I prefer the coconut oil I’ve been using.

COSRX Blackhead Silk Finger Balls: I will definitely be grabbing more.

Ardell Wispies: well. If you know me, you know I already have back ups.

Skyn Iceland Plumping Lip Gels: while these felt great on, I didn’t see a huge difference when using them. I’ll have to think about it.

Chanel Coco Noir Eau de Parfum: it smells nice. I guess I’m just not a huge perfume person.

Ben Nye Final Seal Matte Makeup Sealer: I already had a backup bottle.

Rimmel Stay Matte Clarifying Matte Foundation: I like it okay. But I have been slowly weaning myself off foundation, so I won’t be picking up more.

Ardell Wispies: you already know.

Kara Eyelashes in #WSP: I only paid $1 for these, so I’m sure I’ll be grabbing more.

e.l.f. Cosmetics Mineral Eyeshadow in Celebrity: I liked this okay. Won’t be repurchasing though.

Ardell Wispies: you already know.

e.l.f. Cosmetics Translucent Mattifying Powder: I really only like the convenience of throwing this in my bag, but other than a lip product I don’t really carry makeup everywhere with me now.

Sparks Long Lasting Bright Hair Color in Wild Flamingo: I liked this okay. But I’ve moved onto using g Pravana lately.

NYX Cosmetics HD Concealer in Light: I’ve been using LA Girl instead.

See you soon!

Mani Monday  — April 3, 2017

Mani Monday

Happy Mani Monday! Just a simple glitter look for you this week.

Two coats of OPI Nail Lacquer in Skating on Thin Iceland.

While that was still damp, I sprinkles on a ton of NYX Cosmetics Face and Body Glitter in Violet.

I topped it off with a coat of China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat.

I’ll see you tomorrow!
